Esse é um blog sobre literatura, em todas as formas de mídia que acreditamos que ela pode permear. Isso inclui cinema, televisão, romances gráficos (quadrinhos), e é claro a velha imprensa, que hoje é digital, mas ainda assim o uso mais puro da língua escrita é sem sombra de dúvida ferramenta e por vezes assunto nesse blog.
O Português é a língua básica para esse blog, mas conforme possível os textos serão traduzidos para outras línguas (normalmente Inglês).
Sobre o nome
Por que 999th Night? O título é em inglês para facilitar o acesso mundial a ele. A idéia de 999a Noite é uma homenagem e uma referência a uma das histórias mais famosas do mundo, as 1001 noites. A 999a noite foi escolhida por 999 carregar um significado de expectativa, é quase 1000. Outra expectativa é pensar que em tal ponto das 1001 noites na 999a estaria se passando o clímax da história. Então para um blog sobre histórias fictícias e literatura que tal uma referência ao esperado clímax de uma das mais famosas e cativantes histórias de todos os tempos?

This blog is about literature, in all kinds of media that we believe it can permeate. It includes cinema, television, graphic novels (comics), and of course the old press, that nowadays is digital, but even so the purest use of written language is surely the tool and sometimes subject on this blog.
Portuguese is the basic language on this blog, but as possible the texts will be translated to other languages (usually English).
About the name
Why 999th Night? The English title makes easier the global access to it. The 999th Night idea is a homage and reference to one of the most worldly famous histories, 1001 Nights. The 999th night was chosen because it carries an expectation meaning, it is almost 1000. Other expectation it is to think in that point of the 1001 nights in the 999th it would be the history climax. So, to a blog about fictional histories and literature what about a reference to the expected climax of one the most famous and captivating histories of all times?
